A laser device (100) comprises two semiconductor lasers (110,120), which are arranged on top of each other and formed as edge emitter. Barrier layers (115,125) are provided between a semiconductor laser and a tunnel diode (130) assigned to it, which are formed, to influence the electromagnetic radiation guided by the distribution of the semiconductor lasers in a waveguide. The electromagnetic radiation falls below a predetermined threshold in area of the tunnel diode.
