An angular guide plate (4, 50) which can be mounted as part of a rail fixing system has a recess (21a, 21b; 58a, 58b) which is designed as a seat for a free end segment (22; 61) of a spring arm (23; 62) of a tension clamp (6, 60) mounted on the angular guide plate (4, 50), wherein the recess (21a, 21b; 58a, 58b) peripherally grips the end segment (22, 61) around less than half of the circumference thereof. The crossover between the recess (21a, 21b, 58a, 58b) and the angular guide plate (4; 50) segment (24, 25; 52b) which connects to the recess (21a, 21b; 58a, 58b) in the direction of the rail to be mounted is designed to be free of any clearance, such that the tension clamp (6; 60) can be pushed into its mounting position on the angular guide plate (4, 50) easily.
