<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device in which using efficiency of a memory element is improved. <P>SOLUTION: This storage device includes the memory element, a size storage part 201 for storing a block size of the memory element, a buffer processing part 205 for storing a data received from a RAID controller into a buffer 204, and capable of executing buffer processing of writing the data stored in the buffer 204 into the memory element, a stripe-size receiving part 202b for receiving a stripe size that indicates a size of a unit of access at time of access to the memory element by the RAID controller, and a writing processing part 207 for writing the data received from the RAID controller into the memory element, without executing the buffer processing by the buffer processing part 205, when the stripe size is n times (n is a positive integer) of the block size. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
