<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment easily selecting a menu item even when there are a plurality of the frequently selected menu items and having an excellent usability. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment 1 includes a custom operation section 4 capable of carrying out an arbitrary function selected from a plurality of the functions as the function in case of an operation. The electronic equipment further includes a display means 8 selectively displaying: a high-order menu consisting of a plurality of high-order hierarchy menu items adjusting/setting various functions; a sub-menu consisting of one or a plurality of low-order hierarchy menu items corresponding to the selected high-order hierarchy menu item when selecting either of the high-order hierarchy menu items; and a user menu constructed by registering a specific menu item selected from the low-order hierarchy menu items on a screen.
