PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous preparation which contains a pyrethroid compound of formula (1) and is excellent in shelf stability. SOLUTION: The aqueous preparation substantially includes the pyrethroid compound of formula (1) (wherein R is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, a methoxy group or a methoxymethyl group; and X and Y are each independently a chlorine atom, a methyl group or a hydrogen atom), an alkylated benzene sulfonate, a polyoxyethylene=styrenated phenyl=ether, a hydrophilic solvent and water, provided that the water content in the aqueous preparation is≥65 mass%, and the polyoxyethylene=styrenated phenyl=ether has a HLB of 11-13.
