PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organosilicon compound by which a product can be obtained in high yield in a simple step while reducing the reaction time as compared with a synthetic process using only a Grignard reaction. SOLUTION: A representative method for production includes a method for reacting, e.g. chloromethyldiisopropoxysilane (compound 5) with magnesium in tetrahydrofuran; affording a reaction liquid containing methyl(diisopropoxy)silylmethylmagnesium chloride (compound 3); adding methyltrimethoxysilane (compound 4) dropwise thereto; and providing the end compound 4,4-dimethoxy-2,2-diisopropoxy-2,4-disilapentane (compound 1), or a method for reacting dimethyl(t-butoxy)silylmethylmagnesium chloride (compound 3) with vinyltrimethoxysilane; providing a 5-(t-butoxy)-(compound 1); further repeating reaction and concentration with ethanol; and affording a 2,4,4-triethoxy-(compound 1).
