<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe cable which suppresses deterioration in transmission efficiency of a signal while improving operability of an ultrasound probe head, and to provide an ultrasound probe and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The probe cable 6 connects: the ultrasound probe head 5 which abuts on a subject to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves; and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body 4. A cable diameter D1 on the side of the ultrasound probe head 5 is made to be smaller than a cable diameter D2 on the side of the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body 4 to have a small diameter part 7 on the side of ultrasound probe head 5 and a large diameter part 8 on the side of the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body 4.
