<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a USB connector, suitable especially for a low-height USB connector, which resolves a problem in conventional USB products of a jack type. <P>SOLUTION: In the USB connector configured such that the interior of a metal shield case 1 accommodates an insulating material-made housing 3 in which a contact 4 is press fit and held, a groove-like contact holding part 2 formed in the housing 3 whose side cross-section makes a near L-shape is configured such that a lateral groove 2a to pinch and hold a lateral part 4a of the contact 4 is formed on a lateral part 3a of the housing 3 with the bottom 21a of the lateral groove 2a opened, to press fit the lateral part 4a of the contact 4 from the rear of the holding part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
