PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high image quality superior in rapid response, in particular, during display of a moving image by excluding the influence of individual difference of a device and an operation environment. SOLUTION: The display device includes: an image data input part 21 to which image data is inputted; a display part 26 which has an area for luminance measurement provided in part of a display screen thereof and displays an image; a luminance sensor 27 which is disposed so as to face the area for luminance measurement of the display part 26; and an overdrive (OD) driving control part 22 which adjusts enhanced driving for the change of image data to be supplied to the display part 26, in accordance with image data inputted to the image data input part 21 and the detection result of the luminance sensor 27.
