FALLING OBJECT DETECTION DEVICE, MOBILE BODY, AND FALLING OBJECT DETECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling object detection device capable of maintaining safe traffic while reducing the number of photographing means. SOLUTION: This falling object detecting device is provided with a plurality of mobile bodies 10 traveling on a track 100, a determination means 30 for detecting a falling object and an image acquisition means (12). Each of the mobile bodies 10 is constituted of a mobile main body 11 and the photographing means 20 for photographing images in front of the mobile main body 11. The determination means 30 is constituted to determine whether or not there is the falling object on the track 100 by comparing latest static images at a photographing position acquired from the images photographed by the photographing means 20 for each of a plurality of photographing positions with static images at the photographing position acquired from images photographed by any photographing means 20 passing the photographing position before the photographing means 20 photographing the latest static images.
