<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce troublesomeness of a resident by inhibiting the output of call sound from an intercom master unit when a call button is depressed by mischief. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the call button 26a of a door intercom slave unit 2 is depressed for a prescribed period of time or longer, a call sound is output by the intercom master unit 1 and a normal call back tone sound is output by the door intercom slave unit 2. When a time of pressing the call button 26a of the door intercom slave unit 2 is shorter than the prescribed period, the output of the call sound from the intercom master unit 1 is prohibited and a back tone sound for error different from the call back tone sound is output by the door intercom slave unit 2.
