<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening apparatus for a press through pack sheet, the apparatus being designed to prevent packaged items from being accidentally left within a processed press through pack sheet, by appropriately applying the pressure of a roller to an upper packaging material regardless of variations in the position in which a packaged item is present in the space of a projecting back side. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The opening apparatus presses the press through pack sheet 22 between an upper roller 3 and a lower roller 4, thereby opening this sheet 22. In the opening apparatus, the upper and lower rollers are disposed respectively so that a line L<SB>1</SB>connecting the shaft center parts 8a and 7b of the lower roller and upper roller 3, inclines backward relative to a vertical line L<SB>2</SB>passing through the shaft center of the lower roller, or so that a conveyance path 15b for the press through pack sheet after passing through the area between the upper and lower rollers inclines upward relative to a conveyance path 15a for the press through pack sheet before passing through the upper and lower rollers.
