<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for centering a liquid drop on a surface without using a method for modifying the surface wettability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for centering the liquid drop (2) around a given axis 0 at a given location on the surface (4) of a liquid lens, which comprises forming a surface so as to have a bell-mouthed recess (6) such that, at any point CP1 of the contact limit between the liquid drop and the recess surface, the surface has a curvature smaller than or opposite to that of a circle TC tangent to the recess surface at the point and at a point CP2 symmetrical with the point with respect to the axis 0, and the liquid drop 2 is supplied in the thus formed bell-mouthed recess 6.
