<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement maintenance device which is easily mounted on or dismounted from an item to be engaged. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This engagement maintenance device is provided with: a flange part which goes through the first and the second holes formed on the first and the second items to be mutually engaged, and contacts the second item; a base plate which has a locking part for detachably locking in the first hole and engages the first and the second items with the flange part when the locking part is locked in the first hole; and a connecting part provided between the flange part and the base plate.
