HANDOFF METHOD, SYSTEM, BASE STATION AND TERMINAL IN WIRELESS SYSTEM

A method, a system, a base station and a terminal used for handoff in wireless system are provided. Said method used for handoff in wireless system includes the following steps. The base station collects the handoff judgement information, determines handoff mode according to said handoff judgement information, determines the implementation of the handoff operation according to said handoff mode, and sends the handoff message to the terminals in the area served by the base station. Said handoff message carries the indication information about said handoff mode and the target channel which the terminal will switch to, and directs the terminal to switch to the target channel according to said handoff mode. Through using said method, the case of the base station and all the terminals in the area served by the base station or part of the terminals in the area served by the base station implementing handoff operation could be coped with flexibly, and the number of handoff operation of the base station is reduced. Thus the service interruptions of working channels caused by handoff operation of the base station are reduced, and the QoS of the overall system is improved.
