PURPOSE: A molding compound is provided to express beautiful marbling patterns on the surface of final product or parts through pressure molding or injection molding without use of a film in which pattern is transferred, and to produce molded products having marbling patterns and excellent mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: A molding compound comprises a phenol resin as a base material, a melamine resin forming partterns, and an inorganic filler. The melamine resin is the resin showing patterns in molding, has a color difference with a phenol resin as a base material, and mixes a resin as a base material with the inorganic filler after incompletely curing it by heat treatment of 110~150 °C.
