<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method and apparatus whereby it is possible to prevent the occurrence of problems, such as reduction in the diameter of the ink dots, decline in glossiness, landing interference, extended drying time, even if treatment liquid and ink are deposited separately onto coated paper. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes a treatment liquid deposition part 14 depositing a treatment liquid containing an aggregating agent on a recording medium 12 having a coating layer on the surface and an ink dotting unit 18 depositing ink on the surface of the recording medium 12 on which the treatment liquid has been deposited in a state where an effective pH of the aggregating agent on the surface of the recording medium 12 is ≥1.67 to ≤7.0, and an effective pH of the aggregating agent within the coating layer of the recording medium is ≥0.1 to ≤1.7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
