PROTON CONDUCTIVE MEMBRANE, AND MEMBRANE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY AND FUEL CELL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductive membrane for producing a fuel cell which can suppress the cross-over of methanol.

SOLUTION: The proton conductive membrane comprises proton conductive polymer and proton conductive inorganic oxide. The proton conductive polymer has sulfonic acid groups and is incorporated with a weight Wp. The proton conductive inorganic oxide has silicon oxide supported on the surface and is incorporated with a weight WSA+SiO2. A wight ratio (WSA+SiO2/Wp) is within in a range of 0.03-0.43.
