<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which reduces reflection in a general indoor environment and is capable of providing high contrast. <P>SOLUTION: A polarizing plate 14 is stuck to the counter substrate 22 of a liquid crystal cell 12. A protective plate 16 for protecting the polarizing plate 14 is bonded to the polarizing plate 14 by an adhesive diffusion layer 15 having a light diffusing function. External light L is diffused by the adhesive diffusion layer 15 to suppress reflection. The diffused reflected component of the external light L from a light source hardly influences as leakage light, so that high contrast can be obtained in a bright place. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
