摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal, program, and method which determine the traveling direction of a pedestrian accurately, even when the pedestrian is walking with a portable terminal in his/her hand, using only a geomagnetic sensor installed in the portable terminal. SOLUTION: A traveling direction determination means of the portable terminal includes: a walking standard vector calculation means for calculating a walking standard vector, which is the normal vector with respect to an acceleration surface on the basis of arm swinging motion; a direction standard vector calculation means for deriving a gravity vector and a geomagnetic vector corresponding to the gravity vector and calculating a direction standard vector, which is the normal vector with respect to the direction standard surface of the gravity vector and the geomagnetic vector; and a direction angle calculation means for calculating the direction angle of the traveling direction on the basis of the walking standard vector and the direction standard vector.
