PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member for obscuring moire (interference fringe) without significantly degrading the image quality. SOLUTION: A display device 10 comprises a display section 20, and the sheet-like optical member 30 that is arranged on an observer side of the display section while creating clearance from the display section and transmits video light from the display section to the observer side. The optical member has: an optical function layer 50 having a plurality of light transmission sections 52 formed so as to allow transmission of light; and a plurality of light absorption sections 54 that are formed so as to allow absorption of light and arranged alternately with light transmission sections along the sheet surface of the optical member.
