<p>A flat belt (10) is constructed such that the value obtained by subtracting half the diameter D, in the thickness direction of the belt, of a core wire (12) from the thickness k1 measured from the center of the core wire (12) to the inner surface of the belt is in the range from 0.2 to 1.5 mm and also such that the value obtained by subtracting half the diameter D, in the thickness direction of the belt, of the core wire (12) from the thickness k2 measured from the center of the core wire (12) to the outer surface of the belt is in the range from 0.2 to 1.0 mm. The flat belt (10) has a modulus of elasticity at 100°C of 60 MPa or greater in the lateral direction of the belt. The elongation index of the flat belt (10) is 0.60 or less.</p> |
