A video camera, such as an Internet Protocol, IP, network video camera is shown, consisting of a video circuit board 10 with a front face 10A and a camera lens 12 extending from the front face. A data processing circuit board 20 has a first aperture 21 configured to receive a first portion of the camera lens 12 so as to allow the video circuit board and the data processing circuit board to be arranged in close proximity. In the preferred embodiment, a light emitting circuit board has a second aperture and light emitting devices. The light emitting circuit board is placed in close proximity to the data processing board with a second portion of the lens 12 arranged to extend through the second aperture. The light emitting circuit board may comprise Infrared, IR, Light Emitting Diodes, LEDs.
