<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The supply unit (1) has a coupling rail (12) extending along a rectangular, elongated carrier (10). The coupling rail includes two electrically insulated conductor rails e.g. power supply conductor rail and data transfer conductor rail, which continuously run in the coupling rail. The coupling rail is designed as a hollow rail with an opening along a longitudinal direction. The conductor rails are arranged on an inner side of the hollow rail. A covering device i.e. lip, made of flexible material is provided along the opening, where the covering rail narrows or closes the opening. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a system component comprising a coupling piece. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Medical supply unit i.e. ceiling stand, for use with a system component (claimed) in a medical field for supplying power and for transferring data to an electrical or electronic medical device i.e. infusion controller, during intensive medicine application and surgery. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The supply unit can supply and install larger medical devices and consumers flexibly with electrical power, while retaining mobility and requiring low voltage power supply and strong fixation at the carrier.
