<p>Provided is a studless tire which can make compatible traction performance on snow and ice with handling stability at a high level. In the arrangement of the tread (10) of a studless tire, when the extension length, in the axial direction of a tire, of lateral grooves (3A, 3B, 3C, 3D), out of lateral grooves (3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 5), extending into respective block arrays (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D) in the axial direction thereof and opening to at least one straight circumferential groove (1, 1A, 1B) adjoining the block arrays (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D) is referred to as a groove edge component, the ratio of the total length of the groove edge components in the side tread of an inside tread (IN) to the total length of the groove edge components of an outside tread (OUT) is 1.03-1.3, and the ratio of negative rate of the inside tread (IN) to the negative rate of the outside tread (OUT) is 0.85-1.0.</p> |
