<p>PURPOSE: An indexable insert for a drill and a blank insert for manufacturing the same are provided to apply the insert to one drill body by processing indexable inserts of various sizes from a blank insert. CONSTITUTION: A blank insert(30) for an indexable insert for a drill comprises front and rear edges(29,29') and both sides(34,34'). The front and rear edges face each other and have the symmetrical rotation relation. The both sides face each other and have the symmetrical rotation relation. The first and second cutting blade units(34a,34b) are formed on the side. The first cutting blade unit is located far than the second cutting blade unit from the center of the blank insert. The level difference is formed between the first and second cutting blade units. The first cutting blade unit is arranged near the front edge.</p> |
