Heat treatment tank

The tank (100) has a chamber (102) filled with water to realize heat treatment, where the chamber has an inlet opening (106) and a discharge opening (108) separated from the inlet opening. A displacement device (104) engages a stack (110) of food products received through the inlet opening and transports the stack towards the discharge opening. The inlet and discharge openings are formed on a top of the chamber. A covering device includes a central covering element (114) placed between the openings for covering a portion of the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method of filling a heat treatment tank with two stacks of food products.
