A position management system using a RFID tag and a control method thereof are provided to store a position of goods without a separate position management server by using a RFID reader part reading information of a position tag. A normal tag(100) is a RFID tag storing normal information of goods. A position tag(300) is a RFID tag storing position information of the goods. A RFID reader part(500) is formed into RFID readers reading the normal tag and the position tag. A physical distribution database(700) stores the normal information and the position information of the goods read by the RFID reader part according to a control of a control part(900). The control part controls an operation of the RFID reader part and an information storing operation of the physical distribution database, is formed with a Micom, and transmits an operation signal to the RFID reader part according to a predetermined cycle or a user command. |
