PURPOSE: A thin film phosphor is provided to ensure a light-emitting property like a phosphor powder, excellent permeability, thermal and chemical stability compared with phosphor powder, and to improve crystalline and directionality. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a thin film phosphor synthesizing a phosphor on a base material comprises the steps of: preparing at least one base material containing at least one element among phosphor components and a raw material(2) containing the phosphor components excluding element contained in the base material within a chamber; and synthesizing a phosphor layer in which the raw material is diffused from the surface of the base material to the inside.
