PURPOSE: A video monitoring system for security and a method thereof for using an RFID reader for improving accuracy are provided to accurately check in case of invasion of the security area. CONSTITUTION: A sensor(100) transmits sensing data. An RFID reader(110) transmits a scan result. A camera(120) takes a photograph of a still image or a video image about the designated location. If an RFID tag including identifying information in which the incoming is permitted does not exist, a control device(200) generates an alarm signal.
