Assembly for producing roll packets and method for its operation

The assembly has a conveying system (3) connecting transfer spaces (7a-7c) for transferring partial rolls to slitters (1a-1c). The system has a collecting section connecting branch sections with delivery spaces (13, 14). Labeling stations (10a-10c) are provided in the branch sections to provide each partial roll with a label while a reader (11) is arranged in the collecting section before the delivery spaces. The label contains information of relevant characteristics for allocating the partial roll to a certain stack space. The reader extracts the information from the label. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an assembly for producing roll packets.
