<p>The method involves detecting an obstacle in a surrounding region of a vehicle (1) by sensors (4), and evaluating the detected obstacle in an evaluation electronics. A detection region (7a) of the sensor is controlled depending on distance of a running gear to a base (8). The distance is detected using a detector or by an output signal of a level regulation of the vehicle. The detection regions are modified by modifying a threshold using a software controlled electronics based on the evaluation of the obstacle. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for controlling sensors of a surroundings monitoring system for a vehicle.</p> |
