<p>The invention relates to a method for displaying within a display area a symmetric anatomical structure the method comprising automatically calculating a zoom-factor for the symmetric anatomical structure based upon the display area; automatically calculating a panning position for the symmetric anatomical structure based upon the display area; displaying the symmetrical anatomical structure according to the calculated zoom-factor and panning position within the display area.
