Oscillation suppressor with a valve-controlled fluid connection

The suppressor (1) has a cylinder (3) divided into a piston rod sided operating space (9) and a piston rod distant operating space (11) by a piston (7) at a piston rod (5). A fluid connector (21) is controlled at one of the operating spaces by a check valve (37). The check valve has a radial connection opening (29), which cooperates with a valve element (35) e.g. valve disk. A channel (33) extending in a longitudinal direction is connected to the connection opening and sealed by the valve element.
