PURPOSE: An optical scanning device and an image forming apparatus using the same are provided to remove a ghost light completely. CONSTITUTION: An optical deflector(5) has a deflection surface, and an incident optical system orients the flux from a light source toward the deflection surface of the optical deflector. Imaging optical systems(15a,15b) collects the flux on a scanned surface, wherein the flux is scanned by the reflection surface of the optical deflector. The flux is projected from an inclined direction to the reflector surface with regard to the optical axis of the imaging optical systems.
