PURPOSE: An airbag control device and a method are provided to effectively protect seated passengers even if an adult is unusually seated. CONSTITUTION: An airbag control device comprises a sensor part and a control part. The sensor part is arranged in passenger seats of a vehicle, and senses multiple load value(S10). The control part calculates the weight of the passengers based on the multiple load value, and compares the weight with a first set value(S20). When the weight of the passengers is more than the first set value, airbags are inflated with the high pressure(S30,S40). When the weight of the passengers is less than the first set value, the control part calculates the difference value by comparing the multiple load value each other(S40).
