PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for concentrating and dissolving cells or virus are provided to quickly isolate DNA from the cells or virus and shorten test time in diagnosing sepsis. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for concentrating and dissolving cells or virus comprises: a first tube(102) for injecting reagent solution or unpretreated reagent solution; a screw cap(110) which is able to close the upper part of the first tube; a micro-mesh(108) which remains target cells or virus and filters dissolved cells; and a second tube(106) for containing dissolved cells. A method for concentrating and dissolving cells or virus comprises: a step of preparing the apparatus; a step of injecting sample solution containing the target cells or virus and filtering dissolved cells; and a step of isolating the second tube from the first tube.
