The present invention refers to a composition in injectable solution for treating infections caused by gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including bacteria producing beta-lactamases which are know to be the cause of pneumonia, shipping fever, mastitis and metritis in bovine, ovine, caprine, equine, porcine cattle and dogs and cats. According to the present invention, an injectable composition has been developed which may be applied by different vias of administration: intramuscular, subcutaneous and intravenous; the main characteristic of the invention is that it is an injectable solution ready to be used, does not requiring to be reconstituted or agitated. Moreover, it ensures that the active principle is always supplied in the same amount during the application thereof. The composition of the present invention includes ceftiofur hydrochloride as main active principle, as well as a set of balanced compounds and amounts for forming an injectable solution. The composition compr ises several ingredients which develop different functions and generate the balance of properties required to obtain ceftiofur hydrochloride as an injectable solution.
