PURPOSE: A dynamic precision for datapath modules is provided to optimize 'the precision of data path module within the receiver having the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio). CONSTITUTION: Datapath(601) acts on 'data expressed in the fixed point form. The data path calculates the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) on the block of data samples obtaining from the received OFDM signal. The control unit(603) dynamics of the OFDM receiver and adjusts the precision of data path based on the SNR requirement specification.
