PURPOSE: A seat belt device for a vehicle capable of sensing the number of persons is provided to improve the safety of the vehicle by accurately determining the operation time of other electronic controllers. CONSTITUTION: A seat belt device for a vehicle capable of sensing the number of persons comprises a seat, a webbing(2), a retractor(3), and a person sensing unit(10). The seat is formed in a vehicle interior. The webbing is formed inside the vehicle to protect the person taking the seat. The retractor is arranged in a side panel of a vehicle and controls the withdrawal of the webbing. The person sensing unit is formed inside the webbing and the retractor and senses the number of persons.
