PURPOSE: A weld line following method using an arc sensor is provided to control so that the weaving center of gear is positioned at the predetermined position by correcting the position of a torch as much as left and right correction degrees and the depth correction degree. CONSTITUTION: A weld line following method using an arc sensor comprises the steps for recognizing the welding distance(TWD) and electric current average through the base welding, calculating the interpolation between the TWD and the electric current(208), recognizing the left and right electric current average through the real welding, estimating the left and right TWDs by using the interpolation between the calculated TWD and the electric current. The left and right correction values are obtained through the average calculation of left and right TWDs condition. The obtained left and right correction value and the depth correction value are applied to the welding.
