PURPOSE: A cooling device is provided to keep contents fresh for a long time by applying an electric field on the contents in a storage compartment. CONSTITUTION: A cooling device(300) comprises a storage compartment(310), a cooling part(320), and an electric field generator(350). The cooling part circulates refrigerant via the storage compartment. The electric field generator applies an electric field of 0.1~200MHz or 0.55~200MHz on the inside of the storage compartment. The electric field generator is composed of first and second switches, a switching controller, and an inductor. The first and second switches are arranged between a voltage source and a ground. The switching controller controls the on-off switching of the first and second switches and generates an electric field. The inductor is arranged between the first node and a drive electrode(311).
