The video endoscope has a tube (1) introduced in a cavity via a torcar or a cannula. LED (5) illuminates interior of the cavity. A camera or sensor (4) e.g. charge coupled device sensor, optics and the LED are mounted on a support (11) connected to an end of the tube by an articulation unit i.e. joint (3). The tube is axially traveled via a manipulation unit formed of cables remote from the support. Energy supply unit i.e. connection unit, supplies energy to the camera and the LED. Transmission unit transmits data collected by the sensor towards a recording and/or visualization unit.
