PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve shortening of warming-up time in a fixing device where a fixing belt is subjected to induction heating. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a regulation plate 105 guiding an endless fixing belt 101 in a circulating direction by coming into contact with the back of the fixing belt 101 on the inside of the circulating path of the fixing belt 101, and a magnetic flux generation part 104 arranged at a position opposed to the regulation plate 105 across the fixing belt on the outside of the circulating path and generating magnetic flux. The regulation plate 105 is composed of magnetic shunt alloy, and a shaft core 1022 of a fixing roller 102 is composed of low resistance conductive material such as copper. When the magnetic shunt alloy of the regulation plate 105 becomes non-magnetic because its temperature exceeds a Curie temperature, the low resistance conductive material suppresses excessive temperature rise in a paper non-passing part by negating the magnetic flux passing therethrough.
