PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document search system for collecting desired documents efficiently or intuitively using a search system. SOLUTION: The list of search results is displayed, and candidates of a new search expression and the hit count obtained by the search expression is presented. Specifically, this document search system includes a related term dictionary storing related terms of a search keyword, a related term search expression creating section for extracting the related terms of the search keyword included in the input first search expression from the related term dictionary and creating a second search expression as a new search expression using the related terms, a search execution section for calculating the increase/decrease value between the hit count of the search results obtained by the first search expression and the hit count of the search results obtained by the second search expression, and a search result displaying section for simultaneously displaying, on a display section, the first search expression, the search results obtained by the first search expression, the hit count of the search result, the second search expression, the hit count of the search results obtained by the second search expression, and the increase/decrease value.
