PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging device, a manufacturing method thereof and electronic equipment increasing the accuracy of working a color filter and suppressing mixture of colors. SOLUTION: The solid state imaging device includes an imaging region where a plurality of pixels, each having a photoelectric conversion element, are arrayed and the color filter constituted of a first color filter component 2G; a second color filter component 2R, surrounded by the first color filter component 2G and formed by self-alignment; and a third color filter component 2B surrounded by the first color filter component 2G and formed through self-alignment.
