PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact joint section for a manipulator, facilitating assembly to cost reduction and allowing manipulator operations with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The joint section 6 for the manipulator connects a base arm 3 and a turnable arm 4 with each other at their end portions to let the turnable arm 4 pivot on the end portion of the base arm. This joint section is provided with: a joint shaft 9 fixed to the end portion of the base arm; a bearing unit 8 fit in the end portion of the turnable arm and rotatably supporting the joint shaft with roller bearings internally arranged in a plurality of rows; and drive mechanisms 10, 11 to transmit turning motion around the joint shaft to the turnable arm.
