PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a family of minimally cross-hybridizing nucleotide sequences, to provide a method of use etc., and to provide a specific family of 1168 24mers etc.

SOLUTION: The composition contains molecules usable as a tag or a tag complement, wherein each molecule constitutes an oligonucleotide selected from the oligonucleotide group selected from a series of oligonucleotides based on a specific sequence group. The use of the oligonucleotide tag family for classifying molecules is also provided. The specific tag family members are mutually differentiated by specific hybridization to the tag complement.
