<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for maximally utilizing a plurality of consumable components assembled in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having first and second consumable components includes: a first criterion for determining the degree of consumption of the first consumable component; a second criterion for determining the degree of consumption of the second consumable component; a first determining means for determining the degree of consumption of the first consumable component based on the first criterion; a second determining means for determining the degree of consumption of the second consumable component based on the second criterion; and a display section for displaying the result of the determination of the first and second determining means. The first criterion has, as a consumption degree criterion, an image quality warranty criterion corresponding to a consumption degree for warranting required image quality.
