<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which can simultaneously satisfy: the requirement for prohibiting the reading of the data stored in the memory; and the requirement for checking the content of the data stored in the memory. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory has: a nonvolatile memory to write data in a state that the write operation is possible; a check circuit to validate the write data as the comparing object data in response to the instruction signal indicating that the write operation is possible and to output the comparison result of the data read from the nonvolatile memory and the validated comparing object data; and a path to output the comparison result which is the output of the check circuit to the outside, but does not have a path to output the data read from the nonvolatile memory to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
